Employer Seminar - Working From Home: Best Practices & Cautionary Tales for Employers with Remote Workers
On September 27, 2017, KM presented a seminar covering issues that arise when an employer permits its employees to work from home, whether on occasion or on a permanent basis. Specifically, we discussed the proper documentation and implementation of a remote worker program, compliance with state and federal laws with respect to such employees (e.g., HIPAA and FLSA), and other tips and best practices for successfully employing remote workers.
