On August 6th, Michael Crowder gave a presentation entitled "Medicaid Estate Recovery Rules, Remedies and Appeals" at the Ultimate Guide to Probate seminar presented by the National Business Institute. His presentation discussed the rules relating to TennCare’s recovery from a decedent’s estate of benefits paid, including when estate recovery is allowed or prohibited; the personal representative’s duties; what constitutes an “estate,” and what counts as an “undue hardship.”
