Michael Crowder to Present at the ACTEC 2022 Southern Regional Meeting

Michael Crowder will be speaking on "A Survey of Tennessee Trust Law" on May 22, 2022.

Tennessee legislators have made a concerted effort in the past 20 years to create incentives for Tennesseans and those around the country to consider Tennessee trusts.  As a result, Tennessee trust law provides increased asset protection, broad decision-making flexibility, and a variety of tools for making changes to trusts, among other unique opportunities for trustees and beneficiaries. This seminar features an overview of Tennessee’s marital asset protection trust, community property trust, and self-settled asset protection trust, as well as other unique features available under Tennessee law, with comparisons to similar laws in other states in the ACTEC Southern Region.
