Michael Kelley presented at the May 18th seminar “Legal Issues Involving Local Governments” hosted by the National Business Institute. Mr. Kelley discussed police liability claims under state and federal law, including the Governmental Tort Liability Act and 42 U.S.C. § 1983. He also discussed the investigative and disciplinary process in cases where law enforcement officers are accused of misconduct.
