Mr. Brabham also has extensive experience in the protection and enforcement of creditors’ rights
and remedies in both state and federal courts, including judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, domestication of foreign judgments, evictions, bank levy, garnishment and receivership proceedings, repossession of collateral, attachment and recovery of personal property, and pursuit of claims against decedents’ estates. He represents various banking institutions, lenders, property owners’ associations, corporate clients, student loan servicers, as well as individuals.
Cityview Magazine recognized Richie as a Top Attorney in Knoxville in the practice area of Collections/Foreclosures in 2020-2022. Richie was also recognized in the area of Bankruptcy - Creditor in 2021 and Real Estate Finance & Development in 2022.
Richie was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2002. He is also a member of the Knoxville Bar Association (KBA) and Tennessee Bar Association (TBA).
Richie was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee in 2003 and the U.S. District Court, Western District of Tennessee in 2014.
Richie, a Knoxville native, is married to his wife, Mandy, and they have two young children, Mary Helen and Edward. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching college football, exercising outdoors, and studying historic architecture. Mr. Brabham is a member of the Commercial Law League of America. He is also an active member of The Episcopal Church of the Ascension, the Knoxville Volunteer Rotary Club, and Knox Heritage.
Richie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a major in Psychology and minor in English in 1999. He earned his J.D from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2002.
