Adam B. McDonald

Beginning his career working at a dairy farm, Adam McDonald knows the value of hard work and dedication. Adam brings that same hard work, dedication, and energy in representing his clients. Adam focuses his practice on estate planning, administration, and litigation, but also practices in other civil litigation matters.
Adam was born and raised in Lebanon, Tennessee. While in law school at The University of Tennessee, Adam served as Editor in Chief of the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy, and as Research Editor for the Tennessee Law Review. Adam also practiced as a student attorney in the University of Tennessee Legal Clinic where he represented individuals in preparation for their hearing before the Tennessee Board of Parole, and represented individuals before the Knox County General Sessions, Knox County Criminal, and Knox County Municipal courts in expunging criminal charges.
During law school, Adam gained experience through internships and clerkships at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee at Knoxville, the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, and a private firm in Nashville.
When Adam isn’t practicing law, he enjoys rooting for the Tennessee Volunteers and Tennessee Titans football teams and spending time with family and friends.
Adam was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2024. He is also a member of the Knoxville Bar Association and Tennessee Bar Association.
Adam is also a member of the Federalist Society and the Order of the Coif, an honorary scholastic society recognizing law students who attained a high grade of scholarship, and honoring lawyers, judges and teachers who attained high distinction for their accomplishments.
Adam obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.), summa cum laude, from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2024. Prior to attending law school, Adam earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, summa cum laude, from Cumberland University in 2020, and earned an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice, summa cum laude, at Cumberland University in 2018.
